Home Office boss quits over ‘campaign against him’

Sir Philip Rutnam says there has been a “vicious, orchestrated briefing campaign” against him. The top civil servant in the Home Office has resigned and said he intends to claim against the government for constructive dismissal.

Every bit of her body language screams “Bully” to me.

Deeply ironic how a government department that almost defines institutional racism, that is still deeply embroiled in repercussions from the Windrush scandal, has a badly behaving boss from an immigrant background, who has the hypocrisy to define rules that would have disallowed her own family.

You could not make it up.

Lord Kerslake, the former head of the civil service, said Sir Philip’s departure was “quite extraordinary” and “unprecedented”. “For him to have done this - he must have been pushed to the limit and beyond,” he said.

Deeply shameful.

Government gone Feral.
